SUTTONS BAY, Mich. — Suttons Bay High School is proud to recognize Seniors Hannah Gordon and Gavin Schichtel as the May Student Athletes of the Month. The Student Athlete of the Month award honors student-athletes who maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0, demonstrate exemplary behavior in the classroom and in competition, serve as positive contributors to their teams, and are currently participating in a sport. According to Varsity Softball Head Coach Gary Galla, “Hannah is quiet in nature but strong in commitment. Her focus and determination set her apart, and she will succeed in whatever she chooses to pursue.” “As a senior leader, Gavin has set a fantastic example for his teammates. Beyond his composure and character, his dedication has truly paid off on the scorecard—his game has reached new heights this year, making him our most dependable competitor,” according to Varsity Golf Head Coach Tim Smith.
